Life is challenging. Sometimes we need a fresh dose of inspiration and motivation to keep us going. A few moments spent inspiring yourself can recharge you for the challenges that lie ahead.
That’s the purpose of this article. Infusing some fresh motivation into your week.
A motivating article
This article from Inc. is just at the title suggests, Inspirational Lessons from the Failures of 4 Great Leaders. The title alone is motivating. It’s a reminder that failure is inevitable. However, it’s also a reminder that failure is temporary. Don’t wear the badge of ‘failure’, chase down the badge of ‘leader’.
Failure, to some degree, is part of being successful. Sometimes your failed idea just needs some tweaking to make it a success. Maybe a different audience or a different message. Consider what potential lies within the failure.
The treasure in the failure could be in the learning. Evaluate what happened and learn from it. Keep moving forward. As the author, Jason DeMers states “Perseverance is everything.”
A motivating video
Maybe you’re not facing a full-blown failure, but you need a pep talk to keep going strong. To keep giving 100%.
Author and world renowned speaker Eric Thomas delivers the punch you need to get going. His creative style and high-energy message keeps you engaged and inspired.
Here’s a one minute video that will light a fire under you.
Wow! If we could channel some of his energy, we’d all be a power to reckon with.
A motivational quote
Here’s a guy we all know, reminding us of the value of struggles.
“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strength.” -Arnold Schwarzenegger
No matter how you feel about “The Terminator,” you have to be slightly in awe of someone who was born in a poor, abusive home, immigrated to America, won unprecedented bodybuilding titles, starred in a number of movies, was elected as governor for 2 terms, and then returned to the Hollywood screen.
That doesn’t happen without obstacles. It takes grit. It takes overcoming struggles.
Press on Leader!
As a leader, you are expected to motivate others. Get motivated and press on!
Let me leave you with a favorite Bible verse, Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
