Centennial’s 2016 By The Numbers

Empowering organizations to plan, hire, retain, and grow is what Centennial does best. We’ve been reflecting on how we accomplished that in 2016 and how we plan to best serve our client organizations in 2017.

Centennial:  2016 by the numbers

Here’s a snapshot of our 2016 by the numbers:

Ownership: 64% of our clients were privately held or private equity owned organizations.  20% were family owned businesses.
Geography: 41% of our client organizations had international headquarters. 59% of our client organizations were domestically based.
Client Growth:  44% of our clients retained us to identify multiple leaders for their organization.
Organizational Chart: 83% of our revenue was attributed to senior leadership and C-suite placements. 17% of our revenue was generated from other consulting engagements.

But wait.  There’s more!

Another number of interest:  4. We hosted 4 CEO Symposiums for our clients that were centered around character, culture, chemistry and competency.

Then there’s 26,233.  That is the number of miles Centennial team members logged traveling nationally for client engagements. Some of the cities include; Manhattan, Hagerstown, Green Bay, Chicago, Cleveland, Atlanta, and Oklahoma City– among others.

We “sharpened the saw”: Centennial team members participated in 9 leadership and professional development conferences from Atlanta to Anaheim to Chicago to Queens to Cincinnati.

And last, 1.  We were featured on the cover of Northern Kentucky Business Journal (picture from my coffee table, above. ) And, we added one new office in a very key market:  New York, NY.  Our Manhattan office enables us to further leverage our Cincinnati network as well as strengthen our network among private equity firms and the organizations they serve.

Weekly Blog Posts for Our Leaders

Midway through 2016, we started publishing our blog every Monday.  Why? Because the leaders we serve asked for it! The blog’s content is designed to help leaders be better leaders, and we heard, “We want more!” 5 Traits of Leaders Who Attract Leaders, Corporate Culture: Why It’s Crucial, and Employee Engagement Yields Success were three of our more popular posts.

…In the Business of Empowering Leaders–In Many Ways

  • I was the keynote speaker at an international conference on “Becoming a Talent Magnet.”
  • Other team members conducted talent magnet related workshops.
  • We led “Lunch and Learns” for leaders at client companies, including one that addresses how to leverage your ‘Who’ network to advance your career.
  • We organized two dynamic panel discussions on the Workforce Pipeline and Regionalism.
  • We sponsored a day for key client leaders at Leadercast– the largest one-day leadership event in the world.

All this–and more–empowered leaders to grow their organization.

On to 2017

To those organizations that were a part of our 2016 success, thank you. Empowering you to plan, hire, retain and grow is our firm’s passion. If we have yet to work together, let’s collaborate in 2017 and see how much you will grow.

Here’s to your success!

On behalf of the Centennial team, we wish you all the Happiest of Holidays and a Merry Christmas!
