Mike Sipple Jr. Named 2018 “Champion for Education”
Mike Sipple Jr., president of Centennial Talent Strategy and Executive Search and founder of the Talent Magnet Institute™ has been named “The Champion for Education” by the Northern Kentucky Education Council (NKyEC). Sipple received the award at the NKyEC’s Exellence in Education Celebration on April 25, 2018. The evening recognized Northern Kentucky’s outstanding teachers, students, and advocates.
Sipple was honored for his leadership, commitment and dedication to education and family engagement in our community. He serves on a variety of education-focused board of directors and committees, as well as in activities designed to increase company involvement with local schools. This included leading the 2017 Business Engagement Tour at River Ridge Elementary, showcasing one of Northern Kentucky’s largest elementary schools to organizations that had a desire to support, volunteer and partner with a local elementary school. This effort resulted in increased volunteers serving as One to One coaches in both reading and mathematics. It also inspired an organization to sponsor Junior Achievement across an entire grade level.
Mike serves as the Regional Team Captain for All Pro Dad for the entire State of Kentucky, and co-leads the Greater Cincinnati Region with Brent Degenhardt, the Regional Team Captain for the State of Ohio. All Pro Dad is a national organization dedicated to eradicating fatherlessness and increasing male engagement in children’s lives. Since Mike stepped into this leadership position, Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky has seen an increase of chapters to 34 active schools.
Mike frequently participates on school and community-led panels addressing topics such as fatherlessness, parental engagement, student well-being, bullying and the impact of mentors.
Mike is also committed to creating equity in our education systems. This includes years of dedication and work to elevate the importance of early childhood education. He has served on the board of the Pre-K Works initiative since its inception and advocates for the impact of early childhood education to companies, legislators and our community.
Mike and his wife, Amber, have three children involved in public schools. Together, they volunteer, engage and support education throughout their community as well as nationally.
