Invest in Those Around You – It Make a Difference | Part 2

Invest in those around you and Thank Those Who Invest in You!

Part 2 – Dan’s email made an impression (Read Part 1)

Why did this email make a positive impression about Dan’s career growth?

There are 3 Reasons Why:

1.  His Enthusiasm – Dan too action on what we discussed and shows that he is willing to take on new challenges and new responsibilities.  He wants to have a career he is passionate about.

For too many of us, our careers are energy drainers.  Steve Jobs once said, “If I wake up in the morning and look at myself in the mirror and realize that I am going to have to do things for which I have no passion for too many days in a row, then I know that it’s time to change something.”

2.  He Sought out Help – Dan had a willingness to be guided to new opportunities.  One of the great things about working with professionals in the Cincinnati market, is that we see this incredible willingness among so many professionals to help guide and direct talent to new great opportunities if they are asked.

Whether it is having one on one meetings, LinkedIn, GetDot, Execunet, or some other networking outlet, connecting with others personally gets results.

3.  He was Grateful – Dan took time to reach back and say “thank you.”  When you think about those who have assisted in helping get you where you are in your career or personal development, have you taken time to send them a note or give them a call?

“Thinking about my career journey to Centennial, words can not express the gratitude for the Centennial Team, especially Mike Sipple Sr., Mike Sipple, Jr., and others who daily build into our team and into me by keeping me accountable to grow and stay on track toward my goals.”  That kind of input is invaluable and catapults both parties to achieve greatness.

So thanks Dan for the encouragement!
