Perfetti Van Melle, USA, (PVM), the world’s third largest global confectionary and leader in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry, has hired James Biro as its new Vice President of Supply Chain. Biro joins PVM from the Kellogg Company, where he was Multi Site Supply Chain Director, overseeing $900M of the CPG giant’s product platform, three of its sites, and 1,200 of its employees. Prior to Kellogg’s, Biro worked extensively in operations, engineering and product launch for Mead Johnson Nutrition. Biro was also Operations Department Manager for Procter & Gamble, working at the organization’s largest detergent plant for seven years. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, and an MBA from the Eli Broad School at Michigan State University.
